There are more than 150 student organizations on the UT Martin campus. Starting a new organization is always viewed as positive way to improve our campus.
Organizations may apply for official recognition once each cycle. There are two cycles each academic year, one during the fall semester and one during the spring semester. The application deadline for the next cycle is Friday, October 13, 2017.
How it works:
Complete the Intent to Develop a New Student Organization online form no later than Friday, September 29, 2017. (See Below)
Arrange a meeting with the Office of Student Life.
Prepare the New Student Organization Application Packet - Packets are due Friday, October 13, 2017.
Application Packets are reviewed by the Student Life Coordinators, and organizations are contacted about any changes that need to be made to the packets.
The new organization will be interviewed by the Student Organization Review Board (SORB). SORB will then recommend or not recommend the organization to the University Council.
The University Council votes to approve the proposed organization.
Approved organizations attend New Student Organization Orientation.
